EBSL Installs First Sigfox Access Station Micro in Hong Kong
Water leaking and flooding are common problems in modern city. They typically go undetected and lead to potential damage, resulting in lots of money in repairs. EBSL Zenzi IoT Solution provides real-time detection of damages in the water supply infrastructure and reduces potential risks to public health and property damage caused by flooding.
Hong Kong is occupied with high-rise buildings that imposes challenges for wireless IoT technology deployment. In a recent IoT project, EBSL is commissioned to install flood detection solution in a Grade A office building. The plumbing rooms are built deep inside the core of the buildings and a few are built underground.
One of the key challenges is to alert building staff within couple of seconds when flood occurs. Any signal transmission delay or failure will not be an option. To achieve this critical requirement, Sigfox Access Station Micro is deployed to enhance coverage and resilience. The Access Station Micro is a compact, sleek and weather-resistant device that provides an adaptable and easy-to-install solution to significantly enhance Sigfox IoT service coverage. The Sigfox Access Station Micro quickly extend the reach of Sigfox’s network that suits the dense Hong Kong environment.
With the support of the Sigfox Access Station Micro, EBSL provides a full-coverage hassle-free 7×24 flood detection solution to protect the property from risks of water damage and provide the best working environment for tenants
